Kawartha Pine Ridge Teachers' Local
Elementary Achievement

Oct. 1, 2009

ICT is offering full day secretarial achievement set-up workshops again this year. In preparation for the secretarial workshops, please print the attached forms and distribute to your school staff for completion. Forms must be completed and returned to you prior to the date your secretary has scheduled to attend the Elementary Achievement Set-Up workshop (dates for these workshops will be sent out in an email by the end of the week). Note: Accuracy is very important and will make the setup of the report card software much smoother.

Once your secretary has completed the set up within core Trillium it is imperative that teachers log in to the web achievement application to ensure the accuracy of the set up. This must be done prior to the November 20th ETFO PA Day that is dedicated to report cards and assessment. All secretaries and support staff will be attending the mandatory CUPE PD Day on the same day, therefore, will be unavailable to make any modifications in core Trillium. If the set up in web achievement is inaccurate on November 20th, the teacher will not be able to record assessment.

Students Assessed by Another Teacher
In some specific situations there are some students who do not maintain the original homeroom profile and are assessed for some subjects by another teacher. In these cases, teachers will need to record the subjects that the student takes, the name of the reporting teacher and language of instruction on the Students Assessed by Another Teacher form. Some examples of this scenario are gifted programs, LLS students being integrated into other classes for subjects such as social studies and individual students taking NSL.

Note that the purpose of the Students Assessed by Another Teacher form is to address individual circumstances where Ministry curriculum is taught by another teacher. SERT and Literacy Coach support to the home room teacher does not fall into this category. Please complete the attached form, if this pertains to your school, and give to your secretary to bring to the workshop, along with the other required forms.

The Achievement Dates Template
The dates to be entered into Trillium Achievement, as per the Operations Memo OP:060B, have already been added to this form. Only the Mark Entry End Date needs to be completed.

If you have any questions or would like assistance with the preparation of these forms, please enter a Service Request indicating Elementary Achievement in the summary line.

Thank you.
