Registration
for Professional Development workshops and most events are now handled
on-line through our website.
This avoids courier delays, possible telephone mixups and gives
us a way to contact all participants and an accurate log of registrations.
It also ensures that we can plan to have enough materials, meals,
etc. for the participants who have registered. We prefer that
people do not just show up for workshops if they have not previously
registered.
Submitting
Your Registration
When you submit
your on-line registration you will see an immediate "Thank
You" screen which indicates that you have completed all the
required sections of the registration. It does not necessarily
mean that your registration has successfully reached us.
When we receive your registration, within three* school days
we will send a confirming email to the address you provided. If
you do not receive such confirmation, please contact
the office (admin@kpretfo.ca
or extension 235). Sadly, sometimes there are roadblocks along
the information highway.
Workshops
are filled on a first-come first-served basis unless otherwise
specified. Some workshops fill very quickly. We advise people
to register as soon as possible.
When events are oversubscribed, we will maintain a waiting list.
We give preference to members of our own Local for workshops and
social events arranged by our Local. If spaces are available after
the registration deadline (or if cheques required to confirm requested
spaces are not received by a deadline), then those spaces may
be offered to others.

Why
3 Days??? Confirmations are sent as quickly as possible. However,
the administative assistant's position is not full-time and
other work sometimes intervenes. |
Paying
for Workshops
When
a payment is required, all registrations are conditional upon
the receipt of your cheque at the ETFO office. Please
send the cheque (payable to KPR ETFO) to the ETFO office via courier
immediately after you register
online. When events are oversubscribed, registrations unpaid
by the deadline will be allocated to those on the waiting list
whose cheques have been received. If you have
sent a cheque and we are unable to fulfill your request, your
cheque will be shredded. Please
do not send cash through the courier system.
Getting
in Touch
We
reply to your address on the Board's First Class e-mail system.
Please double check to ensure that it is the correct
e-mail address and is typed
correctly. We generally do not reply to home email
addresses due to frequent problems with filled mailboxes (especially
with Hotmail and Yahoo accounts), server errors, etc.
