The collection of money and/or the counting of money for school, parent or Board initiated activities are voluntary activities for teachers.

Teachers who initiate an activity which necessitates the collection of money should collect, count and record these monies.

Teachers who initiate or volunteer for a school wide activity, such as Jump Rope for Heart, need to determine how money will be collected, counted and recorded prior to the activity. If a teacher is not comfortable with the expectations around the handling of money, they should not volunteer for the activity.
