Regulation 298 of the Education Act requires Teachers to be present in the classroom or teaching area 15 minutes prior to the commencement of classes. this means you must be present somewhere at your worksite and not to any assigned area unless you have supervision duties.

There isno requirement under the Education Act or the Collective Agreement to be present for at least 15 minutes AFTER the end of classes. You are responsible for the safe dismissal of students at the end of the day. Once your students have been safely dismissed, you may leave.
