Teachers are obliged to inform the Employer that they will be absent from school due to illness as soon as possible once they determine they will be ill and unable to work the next day (or more than one day).

Entering the absence into SmartFind and confirming the absence has been recorded is notification of your absence.

Teachers who will be absent and have recorded this with SmartFind may e-mail or call their work site or Administrator, but they are under no obligation to do so.
